The Brand Film

Based on the brief, we brainstormed the core message and defined the right tone of voice: one that speaks directly to the audience and represents the brand authentically. Then we shaped it into a tightly-worded script using a storytelling approach: identifying the problem, and showing the solution.

The Context

Vieu approached us to create a product explainer video that would communicate their complex network-mapping platform in a way that felt premium and accessible. As a B2B SaaS company helping sales teams unlock hidden revenue through warm introductions, Vieu needed to visually demonstrate how their AI-powered relationship graph works without overwhelming potential customers with technical complexity.

In addition to serving as a core marketing asset, the client also intended to use the video as a key communication piece for their upcoming funding announcements, making it essential that the film conveyed both clarity and a strong sense of product maturity.

Their brand identity already leaned into clean, tech-forward aesthetics, and they wanted the explainer to match the sophistication of their product. The script was provided, and our challenge was to bring it to life in a way that made the abstract concept of mapping an entire company’s network feel tangible, credible, and intriguing.

The Solution

The core challenge was clear: demonstrate a complex network-mapping interface while keeping it clean and digestible. We kicked off with a reference collection phase to lock down the right stylistic direction. The selected references became the foundation for the design language, establishing a visual system that could showcase Vieu's platform UI without overwhelming the viewer.

Our approach leaned into creating depth and dimensionality within a 2D space. Layered UI elements, considered transitions, and a restrained palette did the heavy lifting. This gave the piece a polished, premium feel that matched Vieu's brand without sacrificing clarity across the 55-second runtime.

Constraints

Given the project scope and timeline constraints, full 3D design and animation were not feasible. The primary creative challenge, therefore, was to achieve a sophisticated 3D aesthetic using purely 2D motion design techniques. Since Vieu’s visual identity and product interface carry a premium, dimensional quality, it was essential that the explainer reflected the same depth and refinement without relying on full 3D production.

Decisions

To address this, we adopted a Neomorphism-inspired UI approach, allowing us to simulate depth, lighting, and dimensionality within a 2D workflow while maintaining visual consistency with the product experience.

Working within a tight turnaround required careful execution. Each phase of the project was clearly mapped, planned, and projected in advance, enabling the team to move efficiently while preserving creative clarity and production quality at every stage.

Outcomes

Delivering a product explainer aligned with Vieu’s brand identity was a key objective—and the outcome extended well beyond client satisfaction. The project demonstrated our team’s ability to navigate creative constraints, applying strong design thinking and technical craft to deliver high-quality work within a compressed timeline.

The resulting video became a central asset in Vieu’s marketing toolkit, enabling them to communicate their platform in a clear and visually compelling way. It was also featured as a key communication piece during Vieu’s funding announcement, with both the Vieu team and their lead investor using the video as part of their official investment communications.
